Detergent Microbicide Rust Inhibitor

If there is one thing you should not rush, it is correct sump cleaning prior to the addition of new POWR-CUT coolant. The importance of proper cleaning and sanitizing of coolant systems cannot be overemphasized. The removal of contaminants and microbes will greatly extend the life of your system and result in major cost savings in terms of product, labor and disposal.

Recommended Application

Step 1 Drain machine of old coolant. (wetvac works well)

Step 2 Remove all solid material (fines, chips, sludge) from sump sides and bottom. If these are not removed, they can breed harmful microorganisms that will lessen your coolant’s life.

Step 3 Add POWR SUMP CLEANER at 3-5% by volume or 1½ - 2½ gallons per 50 gallons of water depending on machine condition, and circulate for 1-3 hours. Add water first and then add cleaner. Expose cleaner to all machine surfaces. Sumps with rancid coolant or a history of short sump life require an addition of KATHON™ CC directly in cleaner solution.

Step 4 Drain POWR SUMP CLEANER and eliminate any soils from sump.
